Safe Space SLC is a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming group practice in Salt Lake City. We’re seeking licensed therapists, provisionally licensed clinicians, and graduate-level interns who are passionate about working with queer and neurodivergent kids, teens, and adults.

Safe Space SLC is a group psychotherapy practice in Salt Lake City dedicated to serving queer, trans, questioning, and neurodivergent children, teens, young adults, and families. Our team provides affirming, trauma-informed care with an emphasis on safety, consent, and collaboration.

We’re growing—and we’re looking for thoughtful, values-aligned clinicians and graduate-level interns who want to do meaningful work in a supportive, inclusive environment.

We’d love to hear from you if most of these describe you:

  • You’re passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and/or neurodivergent clients.

  • You value trauma-informed, attachment-based, and strengths-focused approaches.

  • You show up with curiosity, humility, and respect for clients’ lived experiences.

  • You’re open to ongoing learning, consultation, and feedback.

  • You’re interested in being part of a collaborative, team-oriented practice rather than working in isolation.

 

  • Current Opportunities  

 

Licensed Therapists
We welcome fully licensed clinicians in Utah, including LCSW, CMHC, LMFT, and Psychologists.

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy (depending on your interests and experience)

  • Opportunities to build a caseload focused on your specialties (e.g., teens, young adults, queer and trans clients, neurodivergent clients, trauma, etc.)

  • Hybrid in-person and telehealth options may be available

 

Provisionally Licensed Clinicians
We welcome provisionally licensed therapists (e.g., CSW, ACMHC, AMFT) who are looking for a supportive environment to grow.

  • Clinical supervision and consultation opportunities

  • Training in working with queer and neurodivergent clients

  • Administrative and billing support so you can focus more on clinical work

 

Graduate-Level Interns
We periodically accept graduate-level interns (MSW, CMHC, MFT, or related programs) who are in their advanced/clinical year.

  • Direct clinical experience with children, teens, and/or adults

  • Regular supervision and team consultation

  • Exposure to group practice operations, documentation, and ethical decision-making
