FAQ

Where are you located?

We have two Salt Lake City locations — 807 E South Temple St #200 (next to Oasis Cafe) and 150 S 600 E, Building 7 — plus telehealth across Utah.

Do you take my insurance?

We are in-network with University of Utah Health Plans, Select Health (Signature Plan excluded), University of Utah HMHI (BHN), PEHP, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Educators Mutual (EMI). We do not currently accept Medicaid or Medicare.

Do you offer sliding scale or reduced fees?

Yes. Safe Space SLC offers reduced rates and sliding-scale fees, and out-of-network visits can be billed as a superbill. We can talk through options during your initial consultation — cost should not be the thing that keeps you from care.

How does the intake process work?

A dedicated intake team responds Monday through Friday by text, email, and voicemail. The easiest way to get started is our short online intake form — tell us what you are looking for and we will match you with the right clinician, usually within one business day.

How do I get matched with a therapist?

Tell us a little about what you're looking for and we'll route you to a clinician who's a good fit — by specialty, identity-affirming care, insurance, and availability.

Do you offer therapy groups?

Yes — we run groups for teens, young adults, trans community members, neurodivergent adults and couples, parents, and more. Join the waitlist and we’ll be in touch.
